OMG OJT ODK part 1

OH MY GOD, OJT, O D'YOS KO! (Part 1)

I think that this is a spontaneously well-planned semester. The schedule that I set for school incidentally worked out right. I decided to take LIS 199 and 181 thinking that I'll be able to accomplish researching while doing library and restoration work. With my schedule I am able to complete all my classes on wednesdays and fridays and then I have 3 whole days of the week for completing my OJT hours.

Anyways here I am 3 weeks has passed (start of classes) and 2 weeks of on-the-job training and I think I am doing well. Although I felt a little nervous on the first day like a grade school kid looking for his classroom. When I entered College of Music Library everyone seemed happy to see me ( o baka sa isip ko lang yun) then I gave my letter to the head librarian, Ma'am Flor, she asked me about my schedule then she gave a thorough orientation on what to do. Apparently I think we  "practicumers" are going to catalog the wall of compact discs inside the music room. It's not really a hard task to do since we are going to use the ILIB cataloging interface and not write or use a "makinilya."

So I started cataloging by the way we are also allowed to search the materials in the LOC website and Worldcat then we can just use the informations provided in short "copyloging." I finished 8 cds in my first four hours. Cataloging is a skill that when you regularly do it becomes easy .

Speaking of easy, after I finished my library work, I went to do restoration, the moment I opened the room that instant i didn't know what to do... TO BE CONTINUED
